The feel
Qam is the body coming upright: rising from sleep, entering the room, becoming present and countable. The same plain motion carries waking, standing, opposing, and resurrection. A queen rises, nations rise, a dead girl rises.

qumy , the feminine imperative. Mark's Greek text carries the Aramaic sentence itself and translates it for its readers. Spoken to a dead child, the verb is the everyday one: get up, little girl.
